Shaba and Samburu

Shaba and Samburu Game Reserves are two neighboring game reserves located in northern Kenya. They are part of the larger protected area known as the Samburu-Laikipia ecosystem, which is home to a diverse range of wildlife species and landscapes.

Shaba Game Reserve is the smaller of the two reserves, covering an area of approximately 239 square kilometers. Other common wildlife species in the reserve include elephants, lions, leopards, cheetahs, and wild dogs.
