Ol Tukai Manyara is set on the eastern shores of Lake Manyara, within a wildlife corridor between Tarangire and Manyara National Parks. Located amongst scattered doum palms, yellow fever acacia trees and fresh water seepages, Ol Tukai has spectacular views across the salt pans and lake towards the rift valley escarpment, sunsets turning the evening sky orange and umber.This is a private community conservation partnership with the Masai communities who use the plains behind Ol Tukai Manyara for grazing and collecting traditional thatching materials. Oltukai Manyara is a perfect retreat to relax, meditate, escape the noise and stress of everyday life, and recover from the rigors of the safari.
Accommodation and Meals
Ol Tukai Manyara has two en-suite bungalows over looking the lake towards the escarpment, a mixture of glass and shade cloth windows. Cool breezes flow though the suite under the high peaked thatched roof. Large king size beds with Sheridan bedding, separate mosquito net four poster, rattan lounge chairs, coffee table and luggage rack. Private shower and toilet.Private timber verandah with director chairs, solar hot water system, flush toilet, private shower, solar lighting and solar recharging unit for camera batteries. Lockable trunk for valuables.Three large “East African” style tents, over looking the lake towards the escarpment. Two tents with double twin beds and one tent with Queen size double bed. En-suite shower under the stars, flush toilet. Rattan lounge chairs, luggage rack, writing desk, private verandah with director chairs. Solar lighting and solar recharging unit for camera batteries. Ol Tukai Manyara has a large dining, lounge and kitchen area on elevated platform overlooking the lake and escarpment under thatched roof. Dining at Ol Tukai Manyara Lodge is unique, the kitchen is part of the experience, the aroma of freshly baked bread, homemade soups or the evening dinner is very much a part of the Ol Tukai magic. Ol Tukai Manyara is well known for its delicious meals that are freshly prepared every day. These can be enjoyed in the rustic dining area or under the African sky. Guests can spend lazy afternoons relaxing in their rooms, or spend evenings relaxing beside the fire pit . Meals can also be under the stars or under the thatched roof.

The lodge is located in a private wildlife concession which allows lets guests enjoy exclusive game viewing opportunities.
