Famous for its predators and the annual migration, the Mara is where the BBC wildlife channel Big Cat Diary was filmed. The reserve sees the annual migration when millions of wildebeests and zebras come here after the rains for green grass and fresh water. Obviously these large herds trekking with their young are easy prey for predators and so you might spot a cheetah or a lion close by. You will overnight in the safari tents at the Losokwan Mara Camp situated outside of the game reserve.

Game drives- The following two days are set aside for game drives in the Masai Mara Game Reserve with your experienced guide. In season you will go to the Mara River where thousands of animals cross while ravenous crocodiles wait below the murky water. Many animals drown while others become prey and it is not always a pretty sight. But the Mara is also a paradise for bird lovers as there are more than 470 types of birds including Kenya’s national bird, the lilac-breasted roller. You will spend two nights at the Mara Ashnil Tented Camp.
