TANZANIA NATIONAL PARKS ENTRY FEES
When you plan a safari to Tanzania, it is important to know the Government Park entrance fees that you need to pay before entering each Tanzania National Parks. These costs are essential to know as the Tanzania National park fees are high in cost.
It is also important to know that if you plan to pay the Tanzania National park fees yourself, then you need to pay the Tanzania National park fees with a Visa or Master Card Only as no cash is accepted. Also, when you stay at Serengeti National Park or the Ngorongoro Crater, you need to pay park fees + the camping fees.

The Ngorongoro crater vehicle entry fee is USD 295 per vehicle. This USD 295 only needs to be paid if you plan to descend (drive inside) the Ngorongoro cater. And yes, this USD 295 Ngorongoro crater vehicle entry fee is per vehicle and not per person!
Please also keep in mind that the Government can increase the Tanzania National park fees at anytime! The Tanzania National park fees above are for 1 day. If you are on a safari for more than a day or so, multiply the park fees accordingly.
Ngorongoro Conservation Area (NCA Transit Fees)
Ngorongoro crater park fees are paid in the bank from any branch and the guest or the person only goes with the receipt or the serial number of the payment receipt. It’s a rule not only in Ngorongoro Conservation area but all Tanzania national parks and Reserves that not direct cash is allowed at the entrance of the park.
The Ngorongoro crater fees have different charge on the car when descending to the crater valley and this is separate from the park entry fee for the car. The vehicle entry fee NCA is 295 usd per vehicle and the fee is paid together with the other fees at the bank or using the credit card. The Ngorongoro crater conservation fees are also subjected to all the guests who may not have any interest to do any activity in Ngorongoro crater but proceeding to Serengeti national park through the Conservation area.
When you are commuting through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, you are required to pay the NCA transit fees. As an example, you want to drive from Arusha to Serengeti and while enroute, you will cross Ngorongoro Conservation Area before entering the Serengeti National Park. In this scenario, you will be required to pay the NCA Transit fees at the Ngorongoro gates which is same as the Ngorongoro park fees mentioned above in the tables. Yes, even if you do not plan to descend inside the Ngorongoro crater, you still need to pay the NCA Transit fees. You do not need to pay the Ngorongoro crater vehicle entry fee of USD 295 per vehicle in this case as you do not descend inside the crater.
The NCA Transit Fees paid are also valid for 24 hours so in case you return to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area after 24 hours, you need to pay these NCA Transit Fees again!
