The Royal Mara is located in the Mara North Conservancy which is the richest and most varied wildlife section of the Masai Mara wildlife ecosystem.
The Royal Mara Safari Lodge is situated directly on the wildebeest Great Migration route, near the two world famous wildebeest migration Mara River crossing points and near Leopard Gorge. The tented lodge and camp is located on the popular Hippo Bend Lagoon of the Mara River, amongst several elephant, buffalo and giraffe herds, and with close proximity to several lion prides. Given the position of the camp in the richest game section of the Maasai Mara, the Western Maasai Mara, the camp guests are in the best location to most readily discover the Big Five mammals.

Royal Mara Safari Lodge has 8 luxury riverfront suites directly on the Mara River. All riverfront suites are elevated one meter off the ground on wooden decks with a private balcony veranda overlooking the resident hippos in the Mara River, and all riverfront suites are furnished with elegant and unique hand carved African furniture.
At the Royal Mara Safari Lodge you experience haute cuisine served in varied exotic wildlife locations. Breakfasts Royal Mara Safari Lodge may be taken near a hippo pool watching resident hippos bobbing in the river or on the open savannah among grazing herds. Barbecue lunches may be enjoyed in our dining area or on the Mara River under a tree shade. Dining arrangements at Royal Mara Safari Lodge can be scheduled in the dining area, in your private riverfront guest suite, under the stars in the bush amid wildlife under the protection of Maasai warriors or in our traditional fire-lit secluded bush boma.
