Sangare Gardens
Sangare Gardens is set on a privately owned farmland located in Nyeri Country and facing Mount Kenya. Located adjacent to the Aberdare National Park in the Sangare area 3 hours drive from Nairobi and 7 kilometres from the main Nyeri – Nyahururu highway.
Sangare Farm House is magnificently situated on expansive farm, where the gardens offer a breathtaking breeze combined with excellent views of Mount Kenya and the Aberdare ranges which is one of Kenya’s water towers.
The living / Lounge is furnished with an in-house entertainment facilities such as the TV – stereo with a DVD player (please bring along your selection of movies or music).
Accommodation and Meals
Sangare Gardens has a total of 10 rooms. All with 1 large king size bed. There is no facility for twin beds or extra beds. All rooms have shower and WC contained. privacy from the main building and balconies; and the family room has two bedrooms with interconnecting doors, located upstairs of the main building and share one bathroom. The abode also offers guests an indoor fireplace and parking on the premises.
SUPERIOR ROOM:- These 4 rooms are suitable for family set up they are 2 rooms upstairs and 2 rooms ground floor all in 1 unit. There is a fire place in each room. There is a private shower and WC in each room. There is a king size bed in each room. Beddings are provided and free laundry of the beddings is included in the price.
FAMILY ROOM:- Located on the first floor in the main house, this room features a balcony overlooking Mount Kenya. This is a combination of 2 rooms with a shared bathroom and WC preferably for children. There is also 1 baby cot for toddlers. In essence the family room will stay 2 adults and children and baby. Please note beds are only king size. There is Wi-Fi in this room.
DELUXE ROOM:- These are stand alone units separate from each other. Each of these rooms has a private romantic Verandah, spacious, cosy lounge overlooking the Mount Kenya. The rooms have a modern ensuite bathroom with large hot & cold rain shower cubical,2 wash basins and WC. Situated on the ground floor with part tent roof alike and designed to give a breathtaking view of early morning sunrise against the back drop of the mountain, these rooms have antique and local decor to enhance homely atmosphere with wall drope and a working station for your utility
Sangare Gardens offers an open plan American style kitchen and dining which has a fridge, microwave, 4 gas burner and a store and all Cutleries. All meals are customized.
NATURE WALK:- A walk in the expansive farm is a rewarding activity as you gaze at the cattle grazing around at the same time learning about the lifestyles of Honi village people. Sit and unwind at the Farm’s man – made dam
GAME DRIVES:- You can afford a game drive to see water bucks and elephants at Aberdare, the gerenuk at Samburu and Ol Pajeta or white rhinos in the beautiful vast savannah of the Solio game reserve. Other species include cheetahs, black rhino, giraffes, and elephants amongst many others. Other place of interest is the Thompson falls along the Nyahururu highway.
