Itinerary
On arrival at JKIA clients will be met by Roaming Africa Tours and Safaris representative. You will be briefed and immediately transferred to your Nairobi city hotel. Dinner overnight at Eka Hotel or similar.
Distance: 85km (1 hr 15 min.). An early drive to Nairobi National Park for an introductory birding session before drive via the Great Rift Valley escarpment with breathtaking views of the world's greatest land rift to papyrus fringed Lake Naivasha. Lake Naivasha has a bird list of over 350 species - eg Fish Eagles, Pied Kingfishers, Long-tailed and Great Cormorants, Black Herons, Grey-backed fiscal, Yellow-Collared Lovebird among other notable species. Sunset boat ride to see the hippos and more resident lake birds. Overnight at Lake Naivasha Simba Lodge or similar
Depart to Nakuru for lunch and afternoon game drive in Lake Nakuru for flamingoes as well as the rare white rhino. The park is world?s famous ornithological paradise with over 450 species of birdlife – flamingoes, pelicans. Overnight at Sarova Lion Hill Lodge or similar
Distance: 300 km. (5 hr.). Morning drive West past extinct Mt Longonot into Masai Mara Game Reserve with it high concentration of wildlife and outstanding scenic views. Afternoon game viewing drive. The bird list totals over 450 species and includes - Egyptian vulture, Hooded vulture, Griffon vulture, Nubian vulture, White-backed and White-headed vulture, Ostrich, Cardinal Quelea, Woodpeckers (Golden-tailed, Little Spotted and Fine-banded), among other hundreds of species.

Today is an early wake-up. Enjoy your breakfast then depart from Masai Mara to the Isebania border. You will arrive at the Kenya-Tanzania border in time for a hot lunch. At this point, if you did not have an entry visa, you can fill it at the border with assistance from our guide. After lunch and clearance formalities, your guide at Kenya side, will handover you to our Tanzania guide to proceed with him at Tanzania side safari. Leave the Isebania border to Serengeti to arrive in the late afternoon with a game drive on the way to your lodge. Overnight at Kubu Kubu Tented Lodge or similar
This whole day, have breakfast then depart for a full-day game drive carrying parked lunch with you. You will marvel at what Serengeti has to offer regarding wild game hence famously known as the World’s largest wildlife sanctuary. Serengeti National park has beautiful views of the endless plains with over 500 recorded bird species. The open savanna plains filled with multitudes Wildebeest, Topi, Kongoni, Impala, Common Zebra, Grant’s and Thomson’s Gazelles are trailed along with the no less than species 5 vultures (African White-headed Ruppell’s, White-backed, Lappet-faced, and Hooded) while other birds of prey may include Martial eagle, Bateleur, Long-crested Eagles, Black-chested Snake, Magpie Shrike, Brown-crowned Tchagra both Eastern and Pale Chanting Goshawk. We spend our time birding on the stake out for the Grey-crested Helmet-shrike, Karamoja Apalis, Tanzania Red-billed Hornbill, Hilderbrant’s Francolin, Black-headed Gonolek, Schallow’s Turaco, Black-backed Cisiticola, among many others.

Enjoy your final morning breakfast at Serengeti National Park. Refresh and check-out of the lodge to depart to Ngorongoro Crater for an excellent birding adventure. Early morning breakfast with a great view of Ngorongoro crater as you prepare to leave to Lake Manyara. The set out towards the stunning Lake Manyara national park. Begin a bird-watching excursion after lunch in order to see birds such the Silvery Cheeked Hornbill, Narina Trogon, Emerald Cuckoo, Crowned Eagle, Ground Dwelling Crested Guineafowl, Pink Flamingos, and many others. After an early breakfast, we head to Tarangire National Park arriving at the park in time for lunch then embark for an afternoon game drive. The park is home to one of the largest elephant populations in the north of Tanzania but is also home to many other wild animals including tree climbing lions, cheetahs or leopards. The landscape of the park is very diverse. Especially the huge baobab trees, which are located close together in the north-eastern sector of the park, are particularly impressive. Tarangire is a only National Park in East Africa where more than 555 species of birds can be seen. It is where you can see most of East African birds at the same park, and others which are endemic to Tarangire. Birding in Tarangire must be a dream for any birders and bird lovers.At noon you will have your lunch at Matete picnic site. Overnight at Tarangire safari lodge or similar
After breakfast you will taken around and along the Silale Swamp in Tarangire National Park whereas marshland birds, paradise birds, and hundred of species will be seen. After lunch you will be cruising on the other side of the river Tarangire while heading to the main gate. After check off, road drive of about 2:30 hrs back to Arusha will begin.
